Picking just 2 if I only had a budget for that around $100 total, I’d go for Wing Hanger (make sure they send it out as a disassembled puzzle) and then add either Teetotum for a real tough challenge or Wourie if you prefer something not too tough but fun. Alternatively, if you’d prefer a non burr puzzle then my second choice would be Trap-R2 (although this is considerably more pricey) as it requires a fair bit of exploration and then thought to work out the sequence. They are all great quality as always from Pelikan.Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05649523779226834414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3341941751324943000.post-3053099336688498002019-02-09T06:32:23.942+00:002019-02-09T06:32:23.942+00:00Hello Kevin.

It may be that you are relatively new to interlocking puzzles in which case an assembly from scratch can feel very difficult and almost like trial and error. Once you have more experience this puzzle becomes a very logical idea. Keep practicing!

Remember that some experienced puzzlers have insisted that everything should be dismantled before it's played with!Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05649523779226834414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3341941751324943000.post-85919991447158656042019-02-06T22:24:16.316+00:002019-02-06T22:24:16.316+00:00The puzzle is very tough! Having disassembled it, you can create a burrtools file for it and then see the correct assembly and try again after you have forgotten what you've done to put it together. Good luck!Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05649523779226834414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3341941751324943000.post-3627855663049405382019-02-06T22:13:10.762+00:002019-02-06T22:13:10.762+00:00My copy of Wing Hangar came unassembled, and I toy...My copy of Wing Hangar came unassembled, and I toyed with it for hours with no progress. The best I could do was an 8-move sequence that got me nowhere. And then, just yesterday, I happened to get the orientation and direction of pieces right, and it all slotted in within two minutes. After visualising how the pieces might fit together inside the 'hangar', and considering options for getting the two pieces past the two small blocks in the hangar, this felt more like trial and error rather than anything else. Just 'trying' the different orientation of the pieces and trying different moves to see which one work. It was nice to complete it, but not as much fun as the other Pelikans.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02000252345520258990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3341941751324943000.post-54260975916825256262019-02-06T22:09:23.099+00:002019-02-06T22:09:23.099+00:00Kevin, I recently 'solved' Teetotum, but w...Kevin, I recently 'solved' Teetotum, but with two rotations of the square pieces. Is this deemed a 'rotation'? Is this the same way you solved it? Just wondering if those two rotations are part of the intended solution, or if there's a way without rotations.
